I just have one thing to say ...
... turn onto BBC One and watch Children in Need. It's the one night of the year when I can say without shame that I'm watching Terry Wogan (I think he's great ... there, I've finally admitted it!) :o)
And after you've enjoyed all the comedy, musical performances and exclusives ... dig deep and give to Pudsey.
Happy Donating!

Is there an inconsistency in reminding people to 'dig deep' and resenting being told of the two minutes silence?
Good point Mr Anonymous. Although the two aren't exactly the same. I know my readers are quite at liberty to completely ignore me and never look at my Blog again. However, communication in a work environment is different, with different implications.
In hindsight, perhaps it would have been better for me to have said,
"If you feel like it, please turn onto BBC One and watch Children in Need. And if you enjoy the comedy, musical performances and exclusives ... please consider digging deep and making a donation."
The actual point to my post was to make a joke about Terry Wogan but I guess that fell a little flat.
The Terry Wogan joke worked fine for me. But what I really want to know is, where's the word count up to?
